Simulated ultrasound data from carotid arteryThe RF data was obtained from simulating the flow in the carotid artery by using the Field II program and the data from page 80 in the book. The Womersley-Evans method for pulsed flow described on page 75-79 was used for finding the pulsatile velocity. The data for the simulation are given below:
The RF data can be obtained from the ftp-server from the directory: The file is called combined_data_carotis_70_deg and the Matlab variable data contains the RF data. One column contains the received RF signal for one pulse emission. The matrix, thus, contains 5000 columns for one second of RF data. The various variables used in the simulation can be found in the file parameters.mat The reference profiles for the file carotid_profiles.mat. The reference profiles can also be seen below. |
